On Tuesday, three representatives from the Irish Aid team in James’ class went in to the Department of Education for the Our World Irish Aid Awards Regional Finals.  Their project about the Global Goals had been shortlisted as one of the top 15 in the region covering Dublin, Greater Leinster and Northern Ireland.

This was an incredible achievement in and of itself but to our absolute delight, on the day we were chosen as one of the top three projects to go to the national finals in June.  We were absolutely thrilled and to cap it all off, our project was highlighted on News2Day today!  You can see it on the RTE Player here http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/news2day-30001385/10574387/  We’re at the very start of the episode!

We’re getting our poster ready for the Irish Aid Regional Finals!

We got some fantastic news this week – the fifth class Irish Aid project has been shortlisted for the regional final – one of the best 15 projects in the Leinster area!

Well done to the children from James’ class who worked on the project – especially Rohit, Tara, Conor, Precious, Gráinne and Alex.

We’ll now be busy preparing for the finals day on May 17th!

What a fantastic achievement!

A huuuuge well done to Orlagh’s 6th class who represented the school so well at the Irish Aid National Finals today. They made it to the top 12 out of 1200 entries and they did themselves and the school proud. Check out the video of their amazing performance about the Millennium Development Goals!
